Science Week

Students fishing

In term 3 week 4 we celebrated Science Week. Students were encouraged to compete or simply display science related projects under the theme of “Game changers and Change makers’. The theme predominantly focusses on innovation and there are prizes for those who compete. Keep an eye out on our Facebook page for some photos of the projects.

To kick off Science Week, 30 of our students participated in the annual “Fish-In” held at Mt. Druitt pools resulting in approximately 20 fish being caught. The Rainbow trout is an excellent sporting fish with some lucky enough to catch more than one, whilst for others it was a totally new and rewarding experience. One thing’s for sure, it was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

On Friday 17 August the Silly Scientist visited Noumea Public School. We saw exciting experiments and learnt lots of things, as well as having lots of fun! All students who attended were well behaved and had a wonderful afternoon.

We can't wait for Science Week again next year!
